GEOGRAPHY AND NATURAL RESOURCES

Ile-Ife is majorly know for its agriculture, sold minerals, and as well suited for the production of crops such as cash crop and food crop. Cash crops include cocoa, cashew nut, tobacco and oil palm, food crop such as maize, cocoyam, beans, plantain, and cassava because of favorable climatic conditions. The annual rainfall is between 1000 and 1500mm with high daily temperature of about 30°C. The people are predominantly farmers with relatively small holding farms.
